Business Administration Manager
Southern Dairy Hub LP

The Role

Based in Wallacetown, Invercargill, the Business Administration Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Hub’s business support and finance function.  Supporting our people (from directors to researchers and our farm team) will be a core focus of the role and you’ll need to be adept at managing relationships and servicing the diverse needs of external and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • all accounts payable and receivable duties along with most data input activities;

  • payroll management and transactions;

  • preparing IRD returns and fuel excise duty refund applications;

  • coding, reconciliation and reporting of transactions;

  • ensuring our people management and health and safety are industry leading and supporting the team to deliver our commitment to best practice;

  • business information management and reporting, with a focus on continuously improving business support operations through robust processes;

  • office management, ensuring the smooth, efficient delivery of support services;

  • Board services and acting as an executive assistant to the General Manager.

 

What we are looking for

You will:

  • have successfully delivered best practice management of people, accounts and payroll in a similar role;

  • be organised and driven with the ability to self-manage and prioritise to meet deadlines;

  • have strong attention to detail and a commitment to high work standards;

  • use your excellent communication and relationship building skills to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction;

  • be focused on continuous improvement of business information management through robust processes;

  • have a strong affinity for the primary sector.

Whilst this is a full time role, we encourage candidates seeking a part time (20+ hours/week) to apply as we are open to job sharing or allocating key responsibilities across two candidates depending on the circumstances and qualifications of the successful applicants.
